The Dracut Girls Under 12 team recently finished an amazing season, full of hard work, endurance, lots of mud, ran, heat and humidity, as finalists at the state championship at the Massachusetts Tournament of Champions (MTOC) in Lancaster.

The girls had to fight every inch of the way to the final. They finished with a regular season record of 8-2-0, good for second place and the chance to play for a wild card spot in the league semi-finals. The first game, against Chelmsford, went into two overtimes and finally to penalty kicks, where Dracut won after nine penalty kicks, with keeper Rebecca Fisher stopping the final chelmsford attempt. They won their second game against Reading and were on their way to the Commissioner's Cup.

They beat Malden, also in a penalty kick game, winning the semi-final and went on to beat Tewksbury on Father's Day to claim the title of the Girls Under 12 Division 2 Champions for the Middlesex Youth Soccer League, and went on to the MTOC.
