Do you have missing socks? Some people are organized and wash socks in a mesh bag or clip them together. But if you have lone socks, you can pin odd socks to a corkboard or use a magnetic clip and hang them on the washer so they're easily accessible to match. Or use a pillowcase, canvas tote bag or bin for each member in your family for strays. The first tip shares another system that might work for you.

ODD SOCK BASKET: I started one of these about five years ago, and it has really helped keep the sock drawers organized. Before, I just threw the leftover socks in the drawer and eventually would just end up with a big messy drawer filled with mismatched socks. Now I only put matched pairs in the drawer, and any lone socks get thrown in the basket. About once a month, I will take the basket down and match them up.
